No. 2 - Jeff's Swamp

Named for the eccentric Jefferson Umbenhaur, who once had his farm along the edge of the swamp, Jeff’s Swamp was created by American beaver that dammed DeHaas Run. The swamp takes an almost two day trip to traverse around, as there is no trail around its edge.

Home to American beaver, great blue herons, a variety of ducks and some of our "forest friends," the swamp is also rumored to have quicksand. So make sure to stay on the beaten path as you explore.

DIRECTIONS: Directions are pending as of September 17, 2012, due to flooding of the road to Jeff's Swamp.
